Reignite is an afternoon for the women at Matthias, to get to know each other better over afternoon tea and around a discussion table, open the Bible together, worship through song and hear from other women in our church.

• This year, the Bible talk will be brought to us by Heather Plaister, who attends our 10am service. She will be speaking from 1 Corinthians 15 and encouraging us to consider how our work - whether it's paid or unpaid, at home or abroad - has incredible value and purpose under God.

What is Christianity Explored? 

What’s the best news you’ve ever heard?

Christianity Explored is an informal and relaxed four-week course for anyone who wants to think about the meaning of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith - Jesus Christ. 

Whether you’re just checking it out for the first time, new to the Christian faith, or finding your way back to church - everyone is welcome to join!

What can I expect? 

1. Explore

   We explore a Bible passage together and talk about what we’ve read. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to read aloud or pray.

2. Watch

   We watch a short film that outlines a certain aspect of Christianity, such as: Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? And how can God accept us? 

3. Discuss

   You will have an opportunity to share your thoughts on the topic, hear from others, and ask any question you want. Or feel free to just listen along. 

How do I sign up? 

Our next Christianity Explored course starts on Sunday 25 February at 12:00 pm and runs every Sunday for four weeks.

This will be a great way to look ‘under the hood’ of Matthias and see how we are going with finances and with developing our property . We will also elect a number of leaders to various positions in our church family, so it would be great to be there to support and pray for them.
