We believe that kids and youth should have a meaningful place in our church that is safe and engages them at their level of understanding.
On Sunday mornings, we begin our time at church all together, with all ages and stages sitting together. After a short time all in, our children and youth move to various programs based on their learning stage.
We offer classes for infants (preschool - year 1) and primary (years 2-6) in our Barnabas Centre (adjacent to our main church building). Our youth in junior high school (years 7-9) walk with their leaders to JOZO, the cafe directly next door to the church. All the kids and youth return to the church building with their leaders in time for morning tea with the rest of the congregation.
For parents with babies and toddlers, we have a parents corner designed for you and your little one(s) to be in the service with comfort and a bit more freedom. If there is every a time you and your child need a quieter (or louder!) space, we have “cry” room set up with chairs and toys, as well as a screen projecting our service.
All of our children and youth leaders have Working with Children Checks cleared by the government. They have also completed courses in Safe Ministry Training. If your child is new to our church, we have a very simple way to “check-in” before children move to their programs.
